The health of our models is of utmost importance.  Platinum Red follows the standards of the adult entertainment industry when it comes to safe sex practices.  In some cases, we go above the established standards to ensure that our models are protected from STD’s. 

Since condoms are usually not used in filming straight scenes, industry standards dictate that models are required to be tested on a monthly basis through the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM).  At Platinum Red, in addition to AIM testing, all models wear condoms as an extra measure of protection for all scene work.

For the mainstream gay and “gay-for-pay” genres, there is no industry standard when it comes to medical testing since condoms are generally used in all scenes.  At Platinum Red, models cast in gay and “gay-for-pay” scenes are required to test regularly in addition to condom use in every sex scene.

It is standard industry practice that models cover the cost of their own AIM testing.  However, if a model signs an exclusive contract with Platinum Red, these costs are absorbed by the company. 

By taking these extra steps, we want to assure our models that Platinum Red is doing everything possible to keep them protected. Models should expect and demand nothing less from an adult studio.
